As one of the many contributors to Beyonce’s recent Lemonade project, Major Lazer producer Diplo has opened up on the creation of one of the record’s standouts, Hold Up.
Discussing on how the album’s concept aligned with samples from Soulja Boy, Andy Williams and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Diplo reminded that a simple tweet from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, alongside a feature from a multitude of writers, led to the finished product.
