With her upcoming Formation World Tour set to kick off in less than a fortnight, Beyonce has surprised fans by announcing her new movie short, Lemonade.
Set to premiere next Saturday (23rd April) on US TV station HBO, Lemonade could well be the start of the new-album trail that Beyonce fans have been eagerly-anticipating – there’s also rumours swirling the web that Bey’s anticipated new record, codenamed B6, will coincide with the release of Lemonade (which makes sense, given the imminent start of the live shows).
Additionally, various Beyonce fan accounts (namely Bey Legion and TheBeyHiveTeam) have previously teased the existence of the Lemonade project after stills of Beyonce filming visuals hit the web at the end of last year.
**UPDATE: According to USA Today, Lemonade will not be a live concert, instead a “docu-style special similar to her 2014 HBO special, Life is But a Dream“. Additionally, DJ Khaled has also confirmed he will be opening for Beyonce on the Formation tour..
