Following their massive teaser back in December, organisers of this summer’s Common People have announced Duran Duran as headliners across the weekend.
After forging a close bond with Common People founder Rob Da Bank after last year’s Bestival, Duran Duran’s appointment this summer will continue their multi-date US stint, as they take their latest album Paper Gods on the road for an extensive series of shows.
Now celebrating its second year, Common People 2016 will hit two cities this summer – Oxford and Southampton, with Duran Duran headlining both places over the 28/29 May weekend. Katy B has also been announced to join the party across both days, adding to the already-massive lineup which includes the likes of Soul II Soul, Craig David, Kurupt FM and a Hospital Records takeover.
Expect more acts to be announced over the coming months, however with the Bestival team managing to pull out all the stops with some of the biggest names in music over the years, expect Common People 2016 to be no different.
