You may not have heard of Billie Marten, but if you’ve been listening to either Radio 1 or 6Music over the past six months, the chances are you’ve definitely crossed some of her music.
16 year-old Marten has been making blog-level waves over the past couple of years (in credible stakes many newcomers would be entirely envious of), and it’s for good reason too. The youngster’s angelic tones are far more mature than her years, and come complete with support from the likes of Lucy Rose and Ed Sheeran.
With her new As Long As EP just over a month on from release, we’re hopeful for that anticipated debut full-length to drop at some point in the next year. Cram in some more [likely] festival appearances (she already hit up Reading earlier in the summer), and we’re certain 2016 will be the year Billie Marten will be the name on the lips of many more tastemakers.
