Godfather of disco Nile Rodgers has given his biggest hint yet that he will return to Glastonbury Festival.
The Chic-frontman teased the news during a Q&A session on Twitter earlier – when posed for a hopeful return by our editor, Rodgers confirmed “[Chic] will have a big announcement beginning of the year”.
Rodgers headlined the West Holts stage back in 2013 with his legendary band Chic – being the first time that he’s graced Worthy Farm, and subsequently his performance was met with huge praise from both attendees and viewers at home.
Chic and Nile Rodgers announced their return to the music scene earlier this year, sharing all-new single I’ll Be There back in the Spring. A new album is expected to land “soon”.
Headliners for 2016’s Glastonbury Festival have still yet to be revealed, though bookies have been hinting the likes of Coldplay, Rihanna and Adele as front-runners.
