Organisers of next year’s Common People festival have announced the first wave of 2016’s lineup, following their successful inaugural event earlier this year.
Set to take over both Oxford’s South Park and Southampton’s Common on 28-29th May, Common People 2016 have dropped one heck of an initial guestlist for next year, bringing along the likes of Kurupt FM, Craig David’s TS5, Soul II Soul, David Rodigan and more. A takeover by Hospital Records has also been confirmed too.
Of the announcement, Rob Da Bank said “Common People was one of my funnest weekends festivaling in 2015, and believe me there was some competition! We loved it so much we decided to share the love with Oxford, another beautiful city and site with a fantastic musical heritage and a thriving arts scene and diverse crowd of party people. I’m really excited to share our first announcement, with some corkers from Primal Scream and Craig David to one of my all-time faves Public Enemy, and up-and-coming acts Jamie Lawson and Kurupt FM. Hope you can come and sing along with the Common People!”
Headliners are still to be announced, however with the Bestival team managing to pull out all the stops with some of the biggest names in music over the years, expect Common People 2016 to be no different. Tickets are onsale now over on Common People’s website – check the first wave of acts, below:
