Jack Garratt, Izzy Bizu and Frances have been announced as the finalists for the 2016 BRITs Critics Choice Award, organisers have confirmed.
Announced last night, the Critics Choice category is one that, historically, has led to great careers, with previous winners including Sam Smith, Adele and more. Upon the announcement, Jack Garratt said “It’s amazing to be nominated for the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award 2016”, adding “It’s such a significant award that highlights the importance of new music, so it’s a genuine honour to have been nominated alongside some other incredible new acts from the UK.”.
Meanwhile, Izzy Bizu, who is still riding high as the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition runner-up in 2014, said “I grew up watching the BRITs on the TV at home so it’s pretty exciting to be a part of it!”.
