Major Lazer’s Lean On, the lead single from the trio’s Peace Is The Mission LP was undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks of 2015, so fans should start to get excited as it appears a mini sequel to the album is now on its way… and closer than you think!
Announcing the news on his official Twitter account earlier in the week, Diplo confirmed that five new Major Lazer tracks had already been readied and mastered, and will land sometime next month.
After a sell-out European tour, plus a fair-few festival stints across the summer (plus both Lean On and the Ellie Goulding-featuring Powerful hitting just under 1bn YouTube views combined), the year has well and truly been owned by Diplo and his cohorts.
October 19th will go down as a joyous day for those who follow Diplo on Twitter. Posting from Norway, Major Lazer’s OG member announced he was in possession of five corresponding masters to the group’s latest project, which he calls Peace Is The Mission 2.0. The tracks are set to release sometime in November. Peace Is The Mission was Major Lazer’s third album, whose platinum single “Lean On” with DJ Snake and MØ continues to permeate radio waves and dance floors alike.
