Last week, the world woke up to the might of Little Simz when she jumped on Naughty Boy’s Live Lounge appearance (alongside Tom Prior), for their ridiculously-strong cover of Arctic Monkeys’ Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High.
However, of course those keeping close to the ground would’ve been aware of Simz for a fair while now – earlier this month she shared her impressive debut record A Curious Tale of Trials and Persons, whilst the mighty Dead Body dropped a month prior. Last night though, Simz flew by Julie Adenuga’s Beats 1 show to deliver the sequel (and prequel) to Dead Body, this time featuring Kano and Stormzy.
This is massive – both KA and Stormzy go hard on this one – it’s wicked to hear all three of them on the charge of new music, and the fact they’re appearing all on one joint makes Dead Body Part 2 + 3 all the more exciting.
