Having already delivered a fine collection with their breathtaking Portraits LP a couple of months back, Maribou State have shifted attentions back onto remixing, this time giving Lianne La Havas’ also-excellent What You Don’t Do a welcoming prop.
Delicate and gentle is what one would expect from Maribou State, particularly when Lianne’s vocals are on the pedestal, and all parties firmly deliver here – Maribou’s remix silks you into a soulful state, which becomes further hypnotic as the edit progresses.
