As Londoners gear up for the first main day of this year’s Notting Hill Carnival (we’re massively-hyped as we’re writing this btw), Jus Now have shared one heck of a mix to get revellers in the party spirit.
Mixed by Sam Interface (one half of the Jus Now duo), the Carnival Mix (created exclusively for Red Bull) is pure vibez!! From Melé to The Bucketheads, this whole set is pretty serious.
“This mix is a blend up of the kind of sounds I like to hear when I’m raving at Carnival” Interface tells Red Bull, continuing “There’s some super fresh bits in there, some classics from back in the day that you haven’t heard in a while, and some bangers that have been working well in the clubs for the past year or so….”
“It’s a mish-mash of styles, lots of percussive tribal stuff, some grimey bits, some dancehall vibes, UK funky, house, garage, even some dub reggae. I didn’t quite make it up to Jungle tempo but the influence of Jungle/DnB is right across everything we do, whether 160 or 120.
Hope you enjoy it.”
