Earlier today, Janet Jackson shared a snippet of brand new track The Great Forever, a song that’s widely-expected to appear on her upcoming eleventh studio album. However, whilst the title of the new record has been shrouded in mystery, Janet has seemingly confirmed the new collection as Unbreakable, following an image posted online of The Great Forever‘s lyrics.

But, what’s with the name? Let’s cast our minds back to 2002, shall we? Purely speculative, however back then, Michael Jackson went on a scathing attack toward his then-label Sony, alongside boss Tommy Mottola, saying that the imprint destroyed his 2001 project Invincible. However, during the rant, Jackson confirmed his appreciation for one of the album’s cuts, Unbreakable “I love Unbreakable he said during the 7-minute showdown.

Michael and Janet were inseparably close; the latter being most hard-hit when the former tragically passed away in 2009 – therefore the homage to Michael is somewhat expected.
