Watch: 1Xtra’s ‘Grime Symphony’ proms

Following Radio 1’s takeover of London’s Royal Albert Hall a fortnight back, tonight came 1Xtra’s turn, shifting the mood from classic Balearic memories to an all-out grime-fuelled scene of madness for the station’s Grime Symphony Proms.

From Krept & Konan delivering an exquisite rendition of Don’t Waste My Time all the way to Chip bringing along Kano and Wretch 32 for Feeling Myself, the whole evening was skilfully crafted, and brought together thanks to Jules Buckley and the Metropole Orkest.

Catch some of the highlights of the evening below, plus the whole gig over on 1Xtra’s iPlayer (here) – needless to say the crowd went NUTS when Lethal Bizzle delivered his classic Forward Riddim (POW)that’s our featured vid at the top.

Ooooosh!
