A proper ‘shut-your-eyes-and-melt-away’ moment, Wake Up This Day (alongside the rest of Misch’s output) is a refreshing foray into the almost forgotten soulful side of electronica; there’s actual groove in here – a feature that seems to have melted away in charts dominated by pop, house and overly-average EDM,
Beat Tape 2 is already garnering a lot of anticipation, and with tracks like Wake Up This Day to contend with, that anticipation seems truly justified.
