In celebration of the station’s upcoming 20th anniversary in Ibiza, BBC Radio 1 took over the Royal Albert Hall last night, turning the iconic venue into one heck of a breathtaking dance party.
Paying tribute to over twenty of the biggest Ibiza club classics from the past two decades (including a stunning rendition of Frankie Knuckles’ Your Love), the 90-minute show, curated (and presented) by Radio 1’s Pete Tong was supported by a Ella Eyre and John Newman, both whom performed with Jules Buckley’s Heritage Orchestra.
Check out some of the highlights above – the full performance can be viewed over on Radio 1’s iPlayer right now (here).
Next month will also see Radio 1’s sister station 1Xtra take over the Proms for their anticipated Grime Symphony – check the full line-up here.
