Following being found unresponsive in the family’s bathtub at the turn of the year, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown, has died.

Aged 22, the youngster had suffered irreversible brain damage after January’s incident, and then spent months in a medically-induced coma, of which she never recovered.

In a public statement, the Houston family wrote:

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

It has been a turbulent year for Bobbi Kristina’s family since the 22-year old suffered the incident back in January. Found mere weeks prior to the three-year anniversary of her mother’s death, Bobbi Kristina was originally placed into North Fulton Hospital. In March, the youngster was then moved to a rehabilitation centre, whilst the next month saw her grandmother Issy Houston reveal Bobbi had “global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

Just over a month ago, Bobbi was transferred to Peachtree Christian Hospice in Atlanta following consultation with a brain specialist. At that time, a statement confirmed that “…despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now.”

On behalf of us all here at Stagedoor FM, rest in peace Bobbi!
