Audio: Ben Gomori Vs Soul II Soul – ‘Back To Nostalgia’ (Bootleg Mix)

London-based producer Ben Gomori has taken the hard-task upon himself to refix Soul II Soul’s iconic Back To Life, and you know what, with it he’s created one heck of a summer-dancefloor smash!

Retitled Back To Nostalgia (that really doesn’t need to be explained, does it?), Gomori slips the original into a soulful-house rework – retaining Caron Wheeler’s vocals though adding in some subtle (and smart) manipulations there too.

This is a strong remix (or bootleg, as Gomori describes) – ultimately anyone who attempts to reinvent the wheel needs to do it with respect, and that’s exactly what the producer has done. Stream Back To Nostalgia at the top of this post.
