**STORY DEVELOPING**
Moments ago, Apple unveiled the next iteration in their Apple Music ecosystem, announcing their heavily-rumoured music-streaming service.
The redesigned Apple Music consists of three areas:

A revolutionary music service
Apple’s redesigned Apple Music service allows users to stream millions of songs from the iTunes Store, alongside offering new music and playlists tailored on the songs users have already notified they like.

Beats1 Radio
Broadcast from New York, Los Angeles and London, the Beats1 radio station will be onair 24/7, globally, and fronted by former Radio 1 DJ/presenter Zane Lowe. Of the new station, Apple said “The truth is, Internet radio isn’t really radio. It’s just a playlist of songs. We wanted to do something really big. Create a worldwide live radio station broadcasting around the globe. Beats One.”[/box]
– A way to connect music fans across the entire platform.

Music Connect
Music Connect will allow users to connect with varying artists, from established to new (and unsigned). Similar in how Soundcloud will lead to music exploration, Apple’s Music Connect will further enhance new-music-discovery via iTunes

The new Apple Music service will cost $9.99 per month, with a free three-month trial period. A family pack, which can hold up to 6 users, will cost $14.99 per month – UK prices on both are yet to be confirmed.
Apple Music will launch in 100 countries later this month, coinciding with the release of iOS 8.4, alongside upgraded versions of iTunes. Apple have also confirmed an Android app is currently being created for launch later this year.
