Ahead of the release of debut LP Portraits later this summer, British lo-fi/electronica duo Maribou State have unveiled one of the new record’s inclusions, The Clown.
Featuring vocals from Pedestrian, The Clown completely shines against a backdrop of previously-solid output from Maribou. It’s downbeat house at some of its finest, and whilst the likes of Disclosure, Blonde and Tough Love may have taken the helm of the uptempo dancefloor flows, The Clown further signifies how Maribou State have completely nailed the atmospheric, down-tempo stuff.
Stream below in full; alongside last month’s Raincoats, Portraits is shaping to be one heck of an exceptional project. Hit the iTunes link for the preorder (the collection lands on 1st June).
