Shangri-La, often known as the ‘naughty corner’ of Glastonbury Festival, have announced their theme for this summer’s event.

Taking a cue out of next month’s General Election, Shangri-La organisers have confirmed that ‘Politics, Sholitics’ will be the centrepiece for Glastonbury 2015, and will look to further expand on the economic feel with their ‘Shang Re-Election’.

Announcing the news last week, Shangri-La said “This year’s story aims to help people connect with the political process and demonstrate that politics can be for them and by them”, continuing “After the flinchingly realistic horrors of last years Corporate Hell, this year Shangri-Hell has been occupied. Every office has been taken over by some of the 99% desperate for change. Each Nano-venue has become a political party, and everyone here has a point to make. There is nothing too silly or too serious to be said, there is only the process of activism, the skies filled with banners, the streets packed with protesters and placards.”

The line-up for Shangri-La has still yet to be announced, but expect Shangri-Hell to host some of the finest DJs, as has been a staple over the years.
