Maribou State continue to stir up demand for their forthcoming album Portraits, this time sharing Raincoats, an enchanting piece of twistedly-soulful electronica, that’s as soothing as it is encapsulating.
Channeling the same kind of enchantment that first led us toward Maribou State back in 2013 (thanks to the sublime Tongue), Raincoats seems far more polished than would be expected from a duo who are still yet to drop a full-length studio project. With all eyes on the aforementioned Portraits, the future of electronica seems in safe hands with these two Herfordshire lads.
