Nu-soul’s latest chip-off-the-block Ego Ella May has debuted How Far, the lead track from her forthcoming Zero EP.
Following on from the singer’s 2014 collection Breathing Underwater, How Far oozes the likes of early Erykah Badu (and most recently, Lion Babe’s Jillian Hervey) – a head-noddingly sultry execution that delivers complete mellowness, whilst futuristic enough to hold its own with against others in Ella May’s category (think Radio 1’s Musical Hot Water Bottle in terms of style and execution).
Stream How Far in full below; Ella’s Zero EP drops on 6th April.
