Last night, Skepta made his debut headline appearance at Fader’s SXSW ‘Fader Fort’, enlisting the likes of his BBK crew Maximum and Shorty, alongside inviting onstage A$AP Bari.
Clearly a pivotal moment for not only Skepta himself, but the grime scene as a whole, which, thanks to the likes of Kanye West, Big Sean and Drake, is now starting to make dents across the pond.
Unfortunately the full stream is now no longer online (those who managed to catch the show live would’ve clearly been amused at the divide between the UK grime fans going nuts, and the US attendees not really knowing what to do with themselves)… however, the good folk at IAmMusicTV managed to capture Skepta going hard at his new single Shutdown.
