After more than a two-decade absence, Chic and Nile Rodgers debuted their brand new single I’ll Be There early this morning… fast-forward a few hours, and the iconic disco/funk band have now shared the track’s official visual.
To say I’ll Be There has been anticipated would be an understatement; 1992 was the last time Chic delivered any new material (with their seventh studio effort Chic-ism), and with the re-emergence of the genre over the past couple of years (alongside demand for Rodgers now reaching stratospheric levels), it was obvious a new collection would eventually drop. Fortunately, it has, and I’ll Be There is the lead single from Chic’s upcoming new project which lands later this summer.
