It’s not been long since Lion Babe unleashed their self-titled debut EP – the short collection which, coupled with their Childish Gambino-featuring Jump Hi, helped spiral them into the hearts of new-age R&B fans far and wide; so it’s a surprise that the NYC duo drop their first piece of all-new material, with new track Wonder Woman.
A nice surprise, mind.
Produced by Pharrell Williams, whom Lion Babe’s Jillian Hervey moots as their mentor-in-parts, Wonder Woman is as strong as the title suggests; less slinky thank the aforementioned Jump Hi, and more powerful than their previous cut Treat Me Like Fire, but ultimately as sharp as we’ve come to expect from Hervey and partner Lucas Goodman.
It’s yet to be confirmed whether Wonder Woman will formulate part of an all-new EP or whether the track will appear on Lion Babe’s anticipated forthcoming studio album, however the track drops on iTunes on 3rd May – hit the link for the preorder and stream the track below:
