Sam Smith was welcomed onstage by John Legend earlier this evening, as the duo performed a live rendition of their new duet Lay Me Down.
Performing the song live on BBC 1’s Comic Relief appeal (of which Lay Me Down is the charity’s official song for this year), the twosome took to the stage with just each other and Legend’s piano – a stark contrast from Smith’s performance of the same track at last month’s BRIT Awards.
Rewatch the full rendition below and hit the iTunes link to download the track now, with all proceeds going to Comic Relief 2015; to donate, head over to Comic Relief’s official website here.
