Years & Years have scored this week’s UK No.1 single, following the release of King earlier in the week.
The track, which marks the British trio’s first single to hit the top of the charts, sees Years & Years knock Ellie Goulding off the No.1 spot with her 50 Shades Of Grey contribution Love Me Like You Do – that track falls to second place.
Marlon Roudette’s When The Beat Drops Out joins Years and Years’ King as the only other new entry in this week’s chart, whilst Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ second album Chasing Yesterday sold 89,000 copies to champion the Official UK Album Charts.
Years & Years, whose album has been pipped as one of Stagedoor FM’s most anticipated British records of 2015, have just completed the last of their Spring headline tour, and are now gearing up to jump across the shore as they support various acts in the coming weeks in the US.
