With Glastonbury rumours now in full-swing, the latest front-runner for the headline slot at this year’s Festival could well be Adele.
According to various reports online today (Source: Mirror), Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis is itching to get Adele to launch her comeback at the iconic event.
But Adele is reported to be in negotiations to make her live comeback on a MASSIVE scale – headlining the Glastonbury Festival! A source told The Mirror that “Most of the acts have been booked for Glasto but Michael and daughter Emily Eavis are still trying to get Adele for Saturday night…. She has been on their wishlist for a few years now. Negotiations are ongoing but this is the closest they have got to signing her.”
Several bands have apparently been booked for the Saturday slot, prior to the headline performance, though rumours are continually spiraling as to which three acts will take the coveted main times on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So far, front-runners include Florence & The Machine, Coldplay, AC/DC and the Foo Fighters. Adding Adele on as a headliner would ultimately divide fans – whilst her comeback has been massively anticipated, there would undoubtedly be concern of the subdued nature of her performance, where historically Glastonbury Festival headliners have been huge productions.
The full Glastonbury 2015 line-up is set to be announced in ‘late Spring’, with a 1st April unveiling likely.
