Charli XCX has previewed her cover of Deee-Lite’s iconic 90’s hit, Groove Is In The Heart as she continues to drum up support for her upcoming album, Sucker.
Utilised in Target’s new TV ad campaign, the new rendition also brings along The Roots’ Black Thought, adding in the track’s iconic “diiiig” stab midway; additionally on The Roots’ front, the cover was also produced by the group’s Questlove.
Stream the preview in full; it’s unconfirmed at this time whether Groove Is In The Heart will receive an official release (however it may be unlikely seeing as the track was produced specifically for the commercial).
