The last few months have been fairly quiet for Chance The Rapper (primarily thanks to his time invested into his forthcoming record Surf), however today, in light of Valentine’s Day, Chance links up with his Social Experiment troupe for Lady Friend, a sultry track written, produced and performed by the rapper himself, alongside Peter Cottontale, Nate Fox, and Donnie Trumpet.
It’s unclear as to whether Lady Friend will be seen as the lead track from Surf (it’s likely to be amongst the tracklisting), however in the interim, stream below in full. Surf‘s release date is still yet to be confirmed, however Chance recently revealed that the record is a “Beyoncé kind of thing”, implying that the collection may just surprisingly land on iTunes. With Drake having led the next instalment of the surprise album (thanks to yesterday’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, it’d be interesting to see if Chance keeps his initial tactics as planned.
