Bestival 2015 announce first lineup

The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, The Jacksons, Jungle, Annie Mac, Lapsley and many many more are amongst the exhaustive first wave of acts confirmed for the summer’s biggest closing party, Bestival 2015.

Announced moments ago, Bestival 2015 will see The Chemical Brothers close the show as Sunday night headliners, whilst Underworld will open the festivities on Thursday 10th September.

Also amongst the line-up are London collective Jungle, grime outfit Boy Better Know, a live set from Jamie xx, and also DJ appearances from Black Butter, Todd Terje, Hannah Wants and Seth Troller.

Meanwhile, as has been a staple in Bestival history, organisers are set to bring back some of the most classic artists across generations. As one of the most-respected hip-hop acts of all time, Jurassic 5 will be making their return to the UK following 2013’s Lovebox, whilst 80s pop/rock band Level 42 are also confirmed to grace the Isle Of Wight festival. Bestival 2015 will also see a welcome return to iconic 90s group Snap!, whilst Duran Duran kick off their full-scale comeback with a major festival appearance. The latter are currently in the studio with Mr. Hudson, Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers, putting the finishing touches on a brand new album, set for release later this year, so Bestival 2015 seems a perfect way to start off their whole campaign with a bang.

Tickets for Bestival 2015 are on-sale now direct from Ticketmaster (here), with event organisers continuing their ground-breaking weekly payment plan, allowing cash-strapped attendees the opportunity to spread the cost of a Bestival ticket across 25 weeks (following initial deposit).
