Twin Shadow’s Turn Me Up criminally seemed to sweep under the radar upon its unveiling toward the back-end of last year, however Grades and Leo Kalyan may have potentially thrown a new lease of life into the song, dropping a freshly-enticing remix onto the web.
Coinciding with Twin Shadow’s recent announcement of a one-off show later this month (at London’s Electrowerkz), both Kalyan and Grades take Turn Me Up into a deep, dreamy state with their edit – a shimmering example of how best to rework a track without causing any harm to the original. Featuring an equally-as-exciting conclusion, both Kalyan and Grades mesmerise and hypnotise here, leading you into an abstract state that’ll make you feel lost upon its finish.
Strong… very, very strong!
Stream the full remix below; we’ve also popped the original of Turn Me Up underneath too, for comparative purposes. The track’s set to appear on Twin Shadow’s forthcoming studio project Eclipse, out next month (hit the iTunes link for the preorder).
