1Xtra have announced a ‘Best of British’ soundclash, featuring four of the most prolific (and exciting) UK labels to emerge in recent years.
Hosted by Mistajam, the 19th February event is set to bring Black Butter, 3Beat, Hospital Records and MTA together on what’s set to be an intense showdown. Details are sketchy at the moment, but considering MTA’s strength at the recent Red Bull Culture Clash (thanks to Chase and Status/Rebel Sound), it’d be interesting to hear what the other three have up their sleeves in terms of dubplates and the like.
Regardless though, expect there to be lots of banter, alongside a fair-few surprises along the way… let’s just hope the clash doesn’t start until after the ‘Who Killed Lucy Beale’ mystery is solved (also set for 19th February).
