Following months of speculation, The Wanted-member Nathan Sykes has announced further details of his upcoming solo career.
Speaking exclusively to Hunger, the star seems to look to the likes of Justin Timberlake to shed his boyband image, with his new material encompassing elements of “soul, funk, Motown, dance”, whilst also confirming work with big-name producers and writers, including Babyface and Dianne Warren.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the best producers in the industry” said Sykes during his announcement, continuing “…at the start of the process I made a list of dream producers and song writers I would love to work with which included Harmony Samuels, Babyface and Diane Warren, all of whom wanted to work with me, which was amazing…. Having already worked with Harmony on the track Almost is Never Enough with Ariana Grande, he really helped me create the sound and he’s now the Executive Producer on the album and together we have created some of my favourite tracks on the album.”
Details regarding when fans will be able to hear the new material are still sketchy at the moment, though Nathan has confirmed his as-yet-untitled debut single will land around spring-time, whilst the full-length studio project should drop by the end of the year.
