Whether you like them or not, you’ve got to admire The Prodigy; essentially a group that have fought the angst to become not only champions of their craft, but also spearheaders of pretty much the whole electronic genre; essentially forging them into becoming national treasures. It’s for that reason alone as to why there’s instant pressure bestowed on anyone who attempts to offload an official remix for any of The Prodigy’s music – fortunately though, Zinc manages to pull off an absolute beast of an edit in his new interpretation of the former’s upcoming single, Nasty.
Set as the lead excerpt from The Prodigy’s upcoming eighth studio album The Day Is My Enemy (out in March), it’s suffice to say Zinc goes into the remix front all-guns-blazing. It’s a hardcore attempt that, whilst a potential departure from Zinc’s previous repertoire, in-keeps with the impactful original. All in, a solid effort that’ll captivate straight from the mesmerising intro.
The Day Is My Enemy lands on 30th March, whilst Nasty is out now – preorder/download below, and stream Zinc’s remix after the jump:
