BRIT Awards 2015: Take That to perform

BRIT Awards organisers have confirmed Take That as the latest major act set to perform at next month’s 2015 BRIT Awards.

Now a trio, the chart-topping group are no stranger to the BRITs: they have performed on five BRIT Awards to date since 1994 (making this year their sixth live appearance) alongside winning a total of eight BRIT Awards during their career.

Take That’s appearance means the trio will join the already-announced Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Royal Blood, Paloma Faith and George Ezra at London’s O2 Arena on 25th February, with the band confirming they are “definitely planning something special at the moment…. we’re thinking about some sort of collaboration or a big surprise“.

Alongside the aforementioned seven acts, all eyes are now on Madonna, whom is reportedly 99% confirmed for a performance of her new single Living For Love.

Meanwhile, Take That and the BRIT Awards have also confirmed that the band will be headlining the annual War Child BRIT Awards concert at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire as part of BRITs Week. Set to take place on 23rd February, Take That’s appearance will help War Child raise funds for children effected by an unprecedented year of violence in war zones including Iraq, Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Uganda and Central African Republic.

Tickets for Take That’s War Child gig are set to go onsale this Friday (23rd March).
