True Tiger/Jakwob-collaborator Maiday has unveiled the powerful mid-tempo ballad Wish You’d Met Me First.
Expected to appear on the singer’s upcoming EP (set to land in the spring), the powerful Wish You’d Met Me First sees Maiday focus on the lesser-spoken-topic of the insecurities surrounding the loss of love to another – a smart theme to focus on, particularly when the music-world’s description of breakups rarely lead into the full picture.
In fairness, Maiday could be singing about her daily trip to Tesco and we’d still be captivated – she has one of those voices which is so enchanting, and mesmerising, that you’re often left confused as to why she hasn’t cracked the commercial world yet.
