Demand has spoken, and thanks to Fleur East’s spectacular X Factor cover of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk over the weekend, Ronson’s record label have brought the release of the track forward by five weeks.

Originally slated for release on 11th January, Columbia Records clearly saw potential in releasing the track early, so surprisingly dropped the song on iTunes earlier this evening, which leads us to ask – “Could Uptown Funk be a contender for Christmas Number One?”.

All eyes historically have been on The X Factor winner to reign supreme in the coveted position, however with Uptown Funk causing quite the stir, we’re ready to put money on Ronson and Mars being the surprising recipient of the accolade; however we want to know what our readers think.
