Sia gives away Aria Award wins to fans

Sia became one of the most talked-about artists on the planet last night following her big win at Australia’s ARIA Awards (Australia’s ‘version’ of our very own BRIT Awards).

Not content with merely taking home four of the awards themselves, the biggest achievement of the night – Album Of The Year and Best Pop Release for 1000 Forms Of Fear, Best Video (Chandelier) and Best Female Artist, the singer caused a spin by giving away all four gongs to fans themselves on Twitter.

The surprise good deed followed Sia receiving criticism online for not showing up for the ceremony (even though she had pre-recorded four acceptance speeches, with only one being aired by ARIA). Sia then subsequently asked her Twitter followers to name one good deed they had done, with an award being sent to the first four.

Responses came from all over the globe, and no-doubt hit home to the critics.
