Damon Albarn launched the first of two shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night with an epic look at his impressive catalogue over the past couple of decades.

Joined by the likes of De La soul, Kano, Madou Diabate and Blur member Graham Coxon, Albarn touched on almost every element of his discography, from the likes of his Blur days, through to Gorillaz, The Good The Bad and The Queen, and right up to current-day with his own solo material.

“We’ve decided it’s just a really big pub” Albarn told the excitable crowd, whilst heading into Gorillaz-hit Kids With Guns, whilst still on the Gorillaz-front, Kano joined the fun with Clint Eastwood. De La Soul meanwhile hopped onstage for their collaboration with Albarn and co, on Feel Good Inc.

From going to his solo title-track Everyday Robots, all the way to Coxon joining for Blur’s anthemic Tender, the night showed just how influential Albarn has been to the state of British (and global) music.
