Marlon Roudette’s When The Beat Drops Out became one of the surprising tracks to land this summer (particularly across Europe where it hit Top 3 in a multitude of markets); now gearing up for the track’s UK release, the Syco-signed artist looks certain to replicate his European success on home turf…. and with a track as strong as When The Beat Drops Out, we couldn’t be more excited.
With his sophomore album ready to land in the UK (you can already find it online internationally), of which When The Beat Drops Out is the lead, all eyes are on Roudette, particularly being only the second non-TV signing from Syco (alongside Labrinth). It probably also helps things that Roudette’s grown up surrounded by music – songwriter/producer (and father) Cameron McVey (probably best-known to the pop world following his work on Sugababes’ acclaimed debut One Touch), alongside stepmother Neneh Cherry (probably best-known for everything else that’s eccentrically-awesome), we’re fully-endorsing Marlon Roudette as someone to keep a close eye on for next year.
When The Beat Drops Out lands on 28th December (hit the iTunes link to preorder), and watch the video for the track in full below:
