Prince and his all-female trio 3RDEYEGIRL rocked US TV show ‘Saturday Night Live’ last night (1st November), performing a multitude of new songs in a triumphant eight-minute set.
Coinciding with Chris Rock’s first appearance since returning to the show, Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL (Hannah Welton, Donna Grantis, Ida Nielsen) performed tracks from both their new albums (3RDEYEGIRL’s PLECTRUMELECTRUM, alongside Prince’s ART OFFICIAL AGE), whilst Camden’s very own Lianne La Havas appeared with Prince for the set’s opener (and apparent forthcoming single), Clouds. La Havas has formed a strong bond with Prince over the past twelve months, welcoming him into her own apartment for a press conference at the start of the year, where he announced his set of guerrilla gigs across London; inviting La Havas to his SNL show undoubtedly will do wonders for Lianne’s already-flourishing career (we hope anyway).
