US duo Great Good Fine OK (whom you may recall unveiled their impressive remix of X Ambassadors & Jamie Commons’ Jungle back in July) have shared their debut EP, Body Diamond.
The four-track collection hears some pretty out-there electro-pop, particularly on opener You’re The One For Me (which did pretty-well on Hype Machine a while back), which flickers between MGMT and CHURCHES on its approach. Jon Sandlers’ exquisite vocals do for Luke Moellman’s instrumentals what AlunaGeorge’s Aluna Francis does in support of George Reid; working perfectly together, and knowingly they probably couldn’t work as strongly if separated. With a current support slow for Betty Who in the US, it’s unsurprisingly that the demand is there from other artists to work with Great Good Fine OK.
