Back toward the end of last month, Kendrick Lamar unveiled i, the first track from his upcoming as-yet-untitled new album (available to stream here). Well now today, Lamar drops the track’s official lyric video, sending some positivity across the song’s sample of The Isley Brothers’ iconic That Lady.
Whilst i may have only been warmly-received by his fans, to us, the track continues Lamar’s strive for tight vocal bars across warm beats; the combination fully equips the rapper to hit multiple audiences whilst still retaking integrity.
