As part of the promotional trail for her forthcoming album Tough Love, Jessie Ware took to London’s The Church of St John-at-Hackney last week, for an intimate gig of all-new material to lucky fans.
One of the new tracks performed was the emotional lo-fi electro-R&B brilliance of Keep On Lying – a solid continuation of the impressive work we’ve been hearing from Ware of late. Co-written by Julio Bashmore (whom Jessie collaborated with on the impeccable Peppermint), Keep On Lying pulls at the heartstrings the only way Jessie Ware knows how, all encompassing with one of the most beautiful instrumental finales we’ve heard in a long, long time.
