We’ve been showing interest in Bobby Tank for a while, the fairly-elusive producer whose output is consistently nothing short of applaudable (last year’s The Way EP, and most recently his remix of Indiana’s Heart On Fire just two shining examples).
Here, Tank unveils Semi Precious, a wonderful new track set to drop later this month, and premiered by Zane Lowe last night. The MTA Records-signed producer’s hooked up with Cass Lowe on this one; an impressive track that oozes elements of electronica, combined with soulful, future-pop; lo-fi at times, but just sheer, fuckingly, great. The synth-led instrumental takes precedent here, but the vocals are just as relevant.
