New music: Gorgon City – ‘FTPA’ (ft. Erik Hassle)

We’re huge fans of Erik Hassle over here at Stagedoor FM, so hearing that he’d collaborated with Gorgon City made us squeal like kids at a One Direction concert!

Unveiling their new partnership FTPA on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last night, the track falls part of Gorgon City’s anticipated upcoming debut album Sirens, set to land next week – it’s a lot more subliminal / lo-fi-esque than we’ve heard from the Gorgon lads’ previous cuts, but then something big and bolshy would never have suited Erik Hassle’s sublime vocals.

FTPA is lovely stuff indeed – more ‘alt-than-house’, but only goes some way to show the variations of Gorgon City’s talents.
