As part of Radio 1’s continued support for bringing new music to the masses over September (throughout their ‘Even More Music Month’), Ella Henderson paid a visit to the infamous Live Lounge earlier in the week, performing an absolutely breathtaking cover of A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera’s huge duet, Say Something.
Supported by her full band, Henderson’s performance was both emotive and powerful, whilst the strings added a beautiful cinematic theme to the cover. Essentially, the performance proved once again how strong a contender Henderson is to the British music landscape; she may have sought prominence via The X Factor, however there’s no denying her impeccable talents for both singing, and as her previous discography has shown, songwriting too.
