After a thirteen-year absence, Aphex Twin is ready to drop his brand new album Syro, and you can listen to it here in all its glory prior to tomorrow’s release, thanks to the good folk over at Spotify.
Marking his first major release under the Aphex Twin moniker since 2001’s full-length Drukqs (Richard D James has released material under other guises since then), it’s fair to say the pressure is on for Syro, particularly after its unveiling was only announced last month.
James has also confirmed further new material for Aphex Twin, aside from Syro, telling Rolling Stone that “I’ve got a few more things planned—at least a couple more albums, some EPs, things like that. Some more dance-y things I did about 10 years ago. Experimental things, noise things, weird things. Shitloads of stuff. They’re all pretty much ready to go.”
