Rudimental and Gorgon City to play first ever gig in the sky

Rudimental and Gorgon City have been confirmed as featured artists for the first ever gig to be live-streamed across the Atlantic Ocean.

Set to take place on 23rd October (with the event live-streamed), the British house/dance supremos will perform a back-to-back set to an exclusive audience of superfans onboard the inaugural flight of Virgin Atlantic‘s new super-jet, the Boeing 787, as it flies from London to Atlanta.

The gig, aptly titled #FlightDecks, will also be shared on Soundcloud directly after the full performance. To be in with a chance of winning seats for this once-in-a-lifetime experience, head over to the official #FlightDecks website to register /”flightdecks.virgin-atlantic.com.

One day after the gig, Virgin Atlantic’s 787 will start its new routes:
October (28th) 2014 – London Heathrow to Boston
December 2014 – London Heathrow to Washington (five times a week initially)
January 2015 – London Heathrow to Newark (five times a week)
February 2015 – London Heathrow to New York JFK (daily)

Both Rudimental and Gorgon City have had a stellar 12 months – the former are currently readying the release of their anticipated second album, whilst Gorgon City’s debut studio record, Sirens, is set to drop next month, and will feature the likes of Laura Welsh, Zak Abel, Maverick Sabre and MNEK, amongst others.
